Simple, clean, comfortable, well located.... Overal, we had a great stay.

Location: Excellent! walkable to everywhere we want to go. It is right in the art precinct and close to Orchard Rd. Simplicity: Everything works, simple room, simple design, clean, and comfortable. Staff: They are all very kind and provide good service.

There should be an option for a double bed. The air conditioning in the corridor is very strong. Throughout our stay, we didn't need air-con in the room. The cool air seeped through. There should be a safe deposit in the room.

The location is superb. In front of the Singapore museum and central to all destinations. Walking distance to most places. Clean, quaint and with kind staff. Would definitely recommend.

I liked the hotel and it was really good for the price. Amazing location

There is coffee shop inside the hotel where you can have breakfast but omg extremely expensive and it was the worst breakfast that I had in my life.

Good enough for a short stay; the location is the best.

Peaceful, safe and awesome location. Staff were helpful. Has a nice little chapel room.

Room was very small, the place has a very musty smell. Cafe had no card payment facility at that time.

I enjoyed my stay but not the greatest value for money

Good location, nice staff, nice atmosphere, nice rooftop pool with great views (though a bit run down and in need of some upgrading)

Room was adequate, but smelt a bit damp, carpet bit worn, windows wouldn't open, corridors freezing cold because A/C to high

Great location, friendly & accomodating staff but place needs refurbishment.

Location good near the MRT & Orchard Road for shopping & good food. Staff were friendly & accomodating.

Our room (room 812) has a musky smell which could be due to dampness in the carpet & if mould appears, it could lead to health issues ( depending on the type of mould). The cafe on the 4th floor was called “Gila( which means mad in Malay).I think it can do with a name change.

A good budget hotel with everything you need (although maybe not everything you want!)

You need to be aware that it is a budget hotel and reduce your expectations accordingly. I was a bit taken aback at first, but hotels are expensive in Singapore and this had everything we needed - I would stay again. Yes, as you can see from previous reviews, the rooms are pretty basic and there are some cumbersome systems (you have to swap your room key for a pool key, and take your room towel up to the pool), but overall we were happy with the place. The staff were helpful: they stored our bags and let us use the pool after we checked out as we had hours to wait until our flight. We ate several times in the cafe on level 4, and the food was good, and moreover it felt like we were helping out a charity (the YMCA employs some workers with special needs). The location is good and there are 3 metro stations nearby (Dhoby Ghaut is very close, but not obvious. Bencoolen and Bras Basah are a short walk and better signposted). There are several vending machines which are good value. You can buy a coffee near reception for a donation. There was a little gym. Our room was small, but hotel rooms are small in Singapore. It had a little desk, basic bathroom and small wardrobe.

No flannel or hand towel. Only one towel each was provided, but we could ask the cleaner to swap for a clean one. The room was not serviced during our 3 day stay, but the receptionist had warned us of this and explained we could get more toilet paper from the cleaner. It was fine for us, we just kept the room tidy. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner as just one bottle of multipurpose handwash is provided.

We enjoyed our stay at YMCA One Orchard and would be happy to stay there again in the future.

No breakfast provided, but a staff member recommended a great place nearby to go for breakfast. We took advantage of the roof top pool.

OK for a few days' stay.

Good location ... two minutes' walk to MRT station. Room clean and fairly spacious for city centre Singapore. No meals ... it is the YMCA.

Very disappointing roof top pool ... very poorly maintained and just some very old and shabby furniture ... no effort has been made here.

Pleasant and welcoming. notwithstanding the inter-room noise, i would expect to be back in future.

Convenient location. wish i had tried the breakfast as i couldn't find anywhere suitable close by. Tried "Cathay" but limited options at 8am.

Guest in the adjacent room was speaking on his mobile phone constantly. he's also had an alarm that kept going of unattended repeatedly from 5am to 8am (when i left the room). surprised at the lack of privacy between rooms.

Superb

Perfect location. Though in a more quiet neighborhood, it is near two train stations that you can still get to just about anywhere in Singapore very easily. The room itself was pretty straightforward and cozy (don't expect a lot of space) but it was still very good for its price.
